Devotionals, Firesides and Study Circles

Orlando Bahá’ís meet several times during the week at various locations throughout Orlando and the surrounding area. Most meetings last about an hour after which light refreshments are often served.

Devotional gatherings feature prayers and readings from all faiths and religious backgrounds. They are a time for people to gather in a spirit of joy, love and fellowship.

“Fireside” meetings feature informal discussions, usually focused on one or two topics on the Bahá’í Faith. The term ‘fireside’ refers to the informal nature of the talks and does not necessarily infer a gathering near physical fire. In fact, most firesides are held in the living rooms of various believers.

Study circles are regular gatherings geared toward an in-depth and systematic study of the Bahá’í Writings. The purpose of this study is to gain a deeper understanding of the Word of God, to comprehend its meanings and to find ways to apply the Word of God to our lives through spiritual transformation and service to humanity.

All of these meetings are open to both Bahá’ís and non-Bahá’ís, including children, youth and young adults.

“Be not content with showing friendship in words alone; let your heart burn with loving kindness for all who may cross your path.” ‘Abdu’l-Bahá
